CAMPUS SUMMARY
St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center School of Nursing was founded by the Sisters of St. Francis in 1898. We are engaged in the preparation of individuals who as nurses will provide holistic and compassionate care to patients in a rapidly changing health care environment. As a hospital based Registered Nurse program offering an AAS degree, we provide a strong clinical (hands-on) component. We offer a comfortable resident hall and guarantee students positions as student nurse aids at the hospital.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Currently the hospital is offering a number of tuition contracts in exchange for a work commitment. We have a full-time student personnel advisor, and a faculty-student ratio in clinical of 9:1. A high percentage (consistently over 90%) pass the NCLEX exam and students may continue their education in 2+2 programs at schools such as SUNY Health Science Center, SUNY Utica-Rome, and Syracuse University.
